HERMITAGE – It will be another solid test for the Keystone 9-11 All-Stars as they will face Section 7 champ South Middletown in the Pennsylvania 9-11 State Championship finals tonight at 7 p.m.
These two teams met in the winner’s bracket final with Keystone pulling out an exciting and memorable 11-8, eight-inning win over South Middleton on Wednesday.
South Middleton had to battle back in the elimination game yesterday by defeating Section 8 champ Aston-Middleton, 4-3. South Middletown had edged Aston-Middletown in the first round, 8-7 and then Abington, 2-1 in the second round of play.
Keystone picked up their first wins of the tourney with an 11-1 win over State College then outlasted Norwin, 4-3 in the second round.
If Keystone wins tonight, they will be Pennsylvania champions. Under the double-elimination format, should South Middleton win tonight, it would force a final winner-take-all game set for Saturday, July 27 at 7 p.m.
The record-online will offer live audio stream of the game with John Lipez and Tom Elling offering up the call to bring you all the action. The stream will go live approximately 15 minutes before the first pitch.
