SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT – Two different age divisions of Keystone Little League Baseball teams will represent their community tonight at Volunteer Stadium in the final round of the District 12 tournament.
The Keystone 9-11 All-Stars will take to the field first at 6 p.m. to face Hepburn Lycoming for the second time in the tournament. This two teams met in the winner’s bracket final on Sunday in Hughesville with Keystone pulling out an exciting 3-2 win in the bottom of the sixth inning. Hepburn then battled back on Tuesday night with a decisive 12-0 shutout over Montoursville to earn a berth in tonight’s title tilt.
The Keystone Major All-Stars will follow on at approximately 8:15 p.m. to meet Loyalsock. ‘Sock fell to Keystone, 10-0 at the Hepburn Lycoming field on Monday night in the winner’s bracket final. Loyalsock then rallied to edge Montoursville, 2-0 to return to the championship round.
Should either Keystone team lose tonight, there will be a final winner-take-all game at Volunteer Stadium on Saturday, July 6 at a time to be determined.
The record-online will offer live audio stream of the game with John Lipez and Tom Elling offering up the call to bring you all the action. The stream will go live approximately 15 minutes before the first pitch of each game.
