SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT — There should be a sea of blue at Little League’s Volunteer Stadium in South Williamsport tonight.
Two representatives from the Keystone Little League will be part of District 12 championship games at the site of the annual Little League World Series:
The Keystone 8-10 team (3-0) will play for the championship at 6 p.m., the opponent Williamsport Area (4-1). The 8-10 team already owns a June 30 1-0 win over its downriver rival. If Keystone wins this evening, it claims the District 12 title. Should the Keystoners lose, there would be a winner-take-all game tomorrow at Volunteer Stadium, tentatively at 11 a.m.
The Keystone Major team (4-0) goes for the title at 8:30 p.m., the opponent Montoursville (5-1). Keystone defeated Montour by a 5-4 score at Montoursville on June 29. Should Keystone lose, there would be a winner-take-all game tomorrow at Volunteer Stadium, the time dependent on the outcome of this evening’s 8-10 contest.
Both games will be aired on AM 1230 WBPZ and streamed online here at therecord-online, using the player below and at wsqvradio.com with John Lipez and Tom Elling offering up the call to bring you all the action. The stream will go live approximately 10 minutes before the first pitch of each game. There will be a short break between games to set up the second stream.
