BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP — The second seeded Central Mountain softball team (16-4) will be hosting number three seed State College (10-8) in a District 6 AAAA semifinal game on Wednesday, game time 4 p.m.
The winner will meet the winner of the second Wednesday semifinal, top-seeded Mifflin County (15-5) hosting number five seed Altoona (11-9). The Lady Mountain Lions advanced to the semifinal round with an 8-0 Tuesday win over number four seed Dubois (11-9).
Wednesday’s semifinal winners will meet on Wednesday, June 1, at Penn State for the district title, the time to be announced.
Central Mountain met State College in mid-April and came away a 4-3 winner in an 8-inning regular season game.
Will will be live streaming audio of the match here at therecord-online.com and on WBPZ AM 1230 radio for all the action with John Lipez and Tom Elling sharing the play-by-play duties. We plan to go live 10 minutes before the match begins, approximately 3:50 p.m.
