BELLEFONTE – Central Mountain High School wraps up its tough January gauntlet of dual meets at Bellefonte tonight. The 9-3 Wildcats will travel to Bellefonte to meet Coach Mike Maney’s 11-3 Red Raiders.
Bellefonte is coming off a 66-9 win over Central earlier this week. The Raiders are led by three standout juniors in Ethan Richner (25-1), a sixth-place finisher at the PIAA tourney a year ago at 160 pounds; returning Northwestern Regional champ Lane Aikey ( 11-2) at 120 pounds; and Ethan Rossman (23-1) at 182 pounds, a regional third-place finisher a year ago. Their line-up was bolstered this year with transfer Jude Swisher (25-3) at 126 pounds, a sophomore who won a regional title for State College a year ago.
The Wildcats check in at 9-3 after their comeback 36-30 win over previously undefeated Selinsgrove earlier this week.
