FARWELL – This Bucktail Buck football team comes from the smallest public high school in the state of Pennsylvania fielding a football squad, 15 players tops on a good night when everyone is healthy. Others would have checked out a long time ago, but not the 2017 Bucks of Head Coach Bruce Ransom. Coming off a winless 2016 season, the odds were insurmountable all season long, facing squads with rosters numbering as many as 50 or more on occasion. What has this squad done? Played hard, battled adversity every Friday night and achieved success no one but the most stalwart Buck fan saw coming. The reward comes tonight when they travel to Montgomery for a District 4 playoff game, kick-off 7 p.m. The Bucks (4-6) will be the underdogs, having lost to Montgomery (5-5) last Friday. But the Bucks have been hard at practice this week and hope to pull an upset in a season full of pleasant surprises.
Because of great support from many Bucktail football fans, tonight’s game will be streamed on therecord-online, John Lipez with the call and Central Mountain quarterback Austyn Carson with the analysis. The stream will go live approximately 15 minutes before kickoff.
