BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – It’s time for the District 6 showdown region wrestling fans have been waiting for as the Mifflin County Huskies visit the Central Mountain Wildcats tonight to see who can prevail as the current leader in District 6 high school wrestling.
Both teams have shared the glory of being the top team in D6 for the past several years and the rivalry, though friendly and respectful, is growing in intensity with each match.
The coaching staffs on both sides have been painstakingly studying their lineups to offer the best possible matches to offer their squad every or any advantage because these two programs are so evenly matched.
Due to injuries, experience and empty slots in both rosters … mixed with some very experienced and top quality returning state qualifiers, which faces we will see at which weights will be akin to a tightly contested chess match.
We will bring you all the action with a live video stream beginning shortly before the varsity contest begins at approximately 7 p.m. You can also listen to the audio portion of the broadcast on WBPZ AM 1230. The junior high match will precede the event as well as any preliminary junior varsity matches.
