BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Central Mountain wrestling team heads into a really difficult three-week stretch beginning tonight with the first of eight dual meets against multiple formidable foes.
It all starts tonight as the 5-0 Wildcats host 4-0 Mifflin County, the varsity meet scheduled for a 7 p.m. start, preceded by a junior high meet.
By the time the January schedule comes to an end at Bellefonte on Jan. 24, the Wildcats will have but one regular season dual meet left, along with a tournament-heavy February.
Mifflin County comes in as the District 6 dual meet champs from a year ago, led by junior Trey Kibe, a defending state champ wrestling at 170 pounds this year. The Huskies have been hampered by injuries of late and did not have entries at two weights at the recent PowerAde tournament.
The record-online will offer live audio/video stream of the match with John Lipez and Tom Elling offering up the call to bring you all the action. The stream will go live approximately 15 minutes before the varsity match begins.
