BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – If history is an accurate indicator, tonight’s second cycle matchup between Central Mountain and Jersey Shore will be another highly competitive hard-fought contest with the tipoff set for 7:30 p.m.
The Bulldogs come to town with a 5-14 overall record this season, 3-7 in the Heartland Conference. Jersey Shore opened the season with a 5-1 record but have been on a 13 game losing streak since and would like nothing more than to turn the corner back to success tonight with a win over CM.
The Wildcats have had similar fortunes this season coming in at 5-13 overall, 4-7 in the PHAC. The ‘Cats are fresh off a non-conference 54-46 win over Tyrone and would like nothing better than to continue that success.
In their last meeting, the Wildcats rolled to a 74-61 win over the Bulldogs back on Jan. 11. Look for the intensity to be turned up a notch or two by both teams as they renew their backyard rivalry once more.
Central Mountain will also honor their senior members before tonight’s game.
