BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – Central Mountain boys’ basketball will host the Tyrone Golden Eagles this evening in a non-conference matchup with tipoff for the varsity game set for 7:30 p.m.
Tyrone comes into the game with a 12-6 record overall, 8-4 in the Mountain League. Central Mountain has a 4-13 mark this season, 4-7 in PHAC play.
Comparing common opponents, Tyrone has played Bellefonte twice, falling to the Raiders 50-43, then the Golden Eagles returned the favor in the second cycle defeating Bellefonte, 50-44. Tyrone has two losses to Huntingdon, 66-45 and 59-48. Central Mountain fell to Huntingdon, 96-58 and Bellefonte, 64-49.
The Wildcats are hoping to start a winning streak down the stretch to become playoff eligible and they will need a solid effort tonight to reach that goal.
