BALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP – The Wildcats will host another Big 7/PHAC match tonight when Williamsport visits the Central Mountain gym with the varsity match slated for 7 p.m.
The Millionaires stand at 1-2 in dual meets this season with a win over Shikellamy (39-34) and losses to Altoona (57-18) and Mifflinburg (39-36). Williamsport also placed 9th at the Tom Best/Top Hat Tournament, 26th at King of the Mountain and 9th at the Tool City Tournament.
Leading the way for the Millionaires this season has been a trio of freshmen, Braden Bower (113) 19-2, Riley Bower (120) 21-6 and Carter Dawson (132) 12-2 along with senior, Anthony Robinson (160) 19-7.
Central Mountain picked up a key 45-24 win over State College on Tuesday to improve to 9-1 on the season. So far these two teams have not met with any common opponents this season, though the ‘Cats placed 2nd at Tom Best/Top Hat and 8th at King of the Mountain in the two individual tournaments both teams participated in.
The record-online will offer live audio stream of the match with John Lipez and Tom Elling offering up the call to bring you all the action. The stream will go live approximately 15 minutes before the match begins.
Keep in mind that the junior high match will begin at 5 p.m. with the high school varsity match to follow. Should the junior high match run long, it could delay the start of the varsity match.
