SELINSGROVE – Central Mountain has yet to lose a match in its four-plus seasons in the Heartland Conference but that record will be tested tonight when the Wildcats travel to Selinsgrove to open the dual meet season for both teams.
The Seals of head coach Seth Martin, a former Lock Haven University wrestler, bring back 10 wrestlers with at least 10 wins. They are led by sophomore Nate Schon who won district and regional titles and placed eighth at the PIAA tourney as a freshman; he was 28-3 on the season at 220 pounds.
Selinsgrove had a Northwestern Regional runner-up in Coy Bastian at 160 pounds. He earned a District 4 title and finished his freshman year with a 28-11 record.
The Central Mountain match will be the first competition for Selinsgrove this season. A junior high meet is scheduled for 6 p.m., the varsity encounter to follow.
The record-online will offer live audio stream of the match with John Lipez and Tom Elling offering up the call to bring you all the action. The stream will go live approximately 15 minutes before the match begins.
