WILLIAMSPORT – Central Mountain, fresh off their 41-21 win over Mifflin County will be on the road tonight to face the Millionaires at Williamsport High School.
Williamsport (6-5) has been steady this season finishing 11th at their own Tom Best/Top Hat tournament, 30th overall at King of the Mountain, 16th at the Tool City Tournament in Meadville and were 2-3 at the Clearfield Duals with wins over Forest Hills (41-37) and Benton (37-28).
Central Mountain (10-1) has had a better experience this season winning the Tom Best/Top Hat tournament, finishing third at King of the Mountain, and earned the championship title at the Dallastown Duals.
Comparing common opponents Williamsport just picked up a 62-14 win over Jersey Shore on Jan. 23 and fell to Selinsgrove (45-27) and Shikellamy (43-26) earlier this season. Conversely, the ‘Cats rolled over the Seals (68-6) and Jersey Shore (64-11) then picked up a 43-16 win over Shik.
The varsity match is slated for 7 p.m. this evening.
