Undefeated Wildcats Host Shamokin Tonight (Live Video Stream)

cm-wrestlingBALD EAGLE TOWNSHIP — The undefeated Central Mountain wrestling team should have a breather at 7 o’clock tonight when they host 1-10 Shamokin but from here on out things will get tougher.

The Indians come to the Wildcat gym owning one win on the season, a 45-18 triumph over Sugar Valley Rural Charter School. The Wildcats meanwhile are 4-0 and have earned the top spot in the Pennsylvania Wrestling Coaches Association’s AAA rankings as maintained by local wrestling guru Tom Elling.

After tonight the schedule will step up appreciably starting this Saturday morning at the 16-team Clearfield Bison Duals. The tourney is comprised of four 4-team pools. The Wildcats have drawn Benton (6-0) at 8:15 a.m., Williamsport (1-4) at 10:45 a.m. and finish with District 10 power General McLane (4-1) at 1:15 p.m. All teams will get five matches on the day, the semifinals at 5 p.m. and the first place match at 7:30 p.m.

The record-online will offer live audio/video stream of the match and will also broadcast audio on WBPZ AM 1230 with John Lipez and Tom Elling offering up the call to bring you all the action. The stream will go live approximately 15 minutes before the match begins. The start time may be delayed depending upon any preceding junior high and/or preliminary matches.
